Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA)
Boyko Atanasov
Born on 10.11.1970 in Targovishte. Graduate of Sofia’s University of National and World Economy with a degree in Planning and Forecasting of Economic Systems.Mr. Atanasov has been in the tax administration system since 1996, initially as tax inspector at the Lyulin Tax Office of Sofia City Territorial Tax Directorate. In the beginning of 2000 he became Head of the Lyulin Tax Office. In March 2000 he was appointed Deputy Director of the Sofia City Territorial Tax Directorate, and in June 2006 he became Director of the Sofia City Territorial Directorate of NRA. In March 2007 he became Director of the Appeals and Performance Management Directorate at NRA’s Headquarters. In February 2009 Mr. Atanasov was appointed to the position of Deputy Executive Director of NRA. In June 2011 he once again took the position of Director of the Sofia City Territorial Directorate of NRA.

Secretary general
Venelin Ivanov Petrov
Born on 19 april 1972. Graduate of Sofia’s University of National and World Economy with a Master’s Degree in Finances, and holder of numerous project management certificates. Mr. Petrov has been working in the tax administration system since 1998. In 2003 he became Head of the Project Coordination Department at NRA’s Headquarters, and later – Director of the Project Coordination Directorate.

Deputy Executive Director
Stoyan Evtimov Markov
Born on 18 March 1971. Graduate of Sofia’s University of National and World Economy with a degree in Macroecnomics, and also holds specializations from Harvard University, the Joint Vienna Institute and the Tokyo International Centre. Until 2002 he was Director of the Tax Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Finance. From 2003 he became Head of the Policy Analysis and Support Department at the National Revenue Agency, as well as Head of the Project Office of the Revenue Administration Reform Project (RARP).
